Arts

Creativity and inclusivity abound across Hudson County’s vibrant arts community. Discover contemporary art at Mana Contemporary, an experiential arts center that immerses visitors in the creative process behind art forms like painting, sculpture, dance, photography, and film. During our popular JCAST (Jersey City Artist & Studio Tour) festival, nearly 150 art spaces open their doors to the public for a weekend of performances, installations, studio tours, children’s activities, and exhibits that celebrate Hudson County artists. Art House Productions, creator of Jersey City’s ongoing JC Fridays series, makes free art, music, and festival fun available every quarter.

Over in the Mile Square City, HobokenArts features an independent online gallery with fine art, art prints, and products from emerging and established artists who have a connection to the city. In Bayonne, Bayonne Arts Festival also engages art enthusiasts through multi-cultural exhibitions and presentations highlighting local and international artists.

Culture

As an American Mosaic, Hudson County is packed with educational and exciting cultural experiences. Celebrate the energetic and colorful Holi Hai, the Indian festival of lights, in Jersey City and Hoboken. Enjoy live music from an array of talented Hudson County artists at one of many festivals and seasonal concerts like summer’s Groove on Grove in Jersey City. Soak up the lesser-known history behind diverse destinations like Hoboken, birthplace of music icon Frank Sinatra and home to the Hoboken Historical Museum. Submerge yourself in Hudson County History with a Revolutionary War bunker tour, or walk back through 350 years of history at the Jersey City Harsimus Cemetery.
