Zapallar restaurant was born out of the need to have a pleasant atmosphere and authentic Chilean food to bring together the Chilean community as well as other communities that want to taste Chilean flavors in the Tri-State Region, New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
Our flavors are combined with taking the best of the South, Center and North areas of Chilean cuisine. The influences of Spanish, German, Italian and French cuisine mixed with the Mapuche culture and its ingredients from so fertile lands for the crops all combine to give delicious dishes. Chilean cuisine also shares some similarities with Mediterranean cuisine. The food tradition and recipes in Chile are notable for the variety of flavours and ingredients, with the country’s diverse geography and climate hosting a wide range of agricultural produce, fruits and vegetables.
