Located just beside the grounds where the legendary duel between Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr took place in 1804. In the park sits the rock which legend says is where Hamilton laid his head after being shot and later dying. Just beside the rock is a monument featuring a bronze bust of Hamilton and a series of historical plaques. In addition, the beautiful and robust view of the Manhattan skyline permits for the perfect photo-op both day and night! Stand on historic grounds while taking in the dazzling views.

Serving the interests and needs of residents the individuals who support Hamilton park are promoting a cleaner and safer neighborhood, uniting residents in common causes, cooperating with city government, acting as a sounding board for the opinions of residents, representing local residents at city meetings, and serving the interests of the citizenry of downtown Jersey City. The neighborhood of downtown Jersey City is defined by Marin Blvd to the east, Newark Ave to the west, 12th St to the north, and 6th St to the south.
