Dia De Los Muertos Celebration at Riverview Farmer’s Market

  • Located at Riverview Park, 1 Bowers Street, Jersey City

 

Each year the Riverview Farmers’ Market partners with local artist Santiago Cohen and the Jersey City community to create and build giant puppets for an annual celebration of the Mexican tradition Dia de Los Muertos. Join the Riverview Farmers Market and Riverview Neighborhood Association in celebrating the diversity of the Heights!

Here’s the schedule for the day:

10:00am through 2:00pm: vendors selling Mexican hot chocolate and pan de muerto

11:00am through 1:00pm: free face-painting for kids

12:30pm: Music in the Park…mariachi band!

1:00pm: Day of the Dead Puppet Parade, featuring puppets made by local artists and community members

2:00pm: Riverview Neighborhood Association (RNA) Dog Parade & Costume Contest. Bring your dressed-up pup to the center of Riverview Park at 2:00pm. Judges will announce the winners and give out prizes at 2:30 PM!
