Thomas Edison Film Festival | Pride Month

On Friday, June 11 through June 30, the Hoboken Historical Museum and the Thomas Edison Film Festival will present another on-demand streaming showcase of selected short films celebrating Pride Month.

The 7 short, innovative films selected for the showcase include narrative, experimental, and documentary styles. The program will kick off on Friday, June 11, with a live Zoom interview by series director Jane Steuerwald with filmmakers Amanda Madden of Salt Lake City, UT, and Andrea Ashton, of Brooklyn, NY.

The films in the showcase include “1-1″ (pictured above) – Narrative – 7 min. by Naures Sager of Malmö, Sweden; “A Portrait” – Documentary – 3 min. by Carlotta Beck Peccoz of London; “Broken Relationship” – Experimental – 4 min. by Wrik Mead of Toronto, Canada; “Dear Elsa: 10 Letters + 10 Experiments” – Experimental – 31 min. by Amanda Madden of Salt Lake City; “I want to make a film about women” – Documentary  – 12 min. by Karen Pearlman of Sydney, Australia; “Love” – Narrative – 4 min. by Andrea Ashton of Brooklyn, NY; and “Orville + Bob” – Documentary – 30 min. by Alan Griswold of Los Angeles.
