The Great Eclipse at Liberty Science Center

Experience The Great Eclipse at Liberty Science Center on Monday, April 8, 2024!
Join us that day as we celebrate a total eclipse of the sun passing over North America! This will be the last total solar eclipse over any part of North America until 2044.
Schedule:
- 10:00 am: LSC opens for the day – come early and spend some time in The Science Behind Pixar, Wild Kratts: Ocean Adventure!, or one of our other immersive exhibitions
- 1 pm: The Great Eclipse celebration begins, as we unveil our special activities, adventures, webcast, and more
- 2:10 pm: At this time, the moon starts to move in front of the sun, and the eclipse officially starts
- 3:25 pm: Here is the deepest coverage of the sun by moon, with 90 percent of the sun covered
- 4:36 pm: The eclipse ends!
