The Museum highlights its current Main Gallery exhibit “The Avenue: A History of Washington Street” and brings attention to the prestigious circus school that once operated there in the late 1970’s with our next Upper Gallery show, the visual spectacle “CIRCUS LIVES: Hovering Above, Balancing Below”!

This multi-media exhibit by celebrated circus artist Karen E. Gersch features dancing horses, performers on tight wire and trapeze, alluring backlot scenes and portraits of jugglers, balancers and – the remarkable Russian couple who founded and ran the Circus Arts Center at 412 Washington St.
