The official FIFA World Cup 2026™ match schedule was announced on February 4th, 2024, where we learned that New York New Jersey will host eight matches total at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, which is a huge honor for us in Hudson County, NJ. The FIFA World Cup™ Trophy will be raised at the Final Match on Sunday, July 19th, 2026 in New Jersey, and we are already preparing to welcome you!
Where else will the games be held?
Eleven U.S. destinations will host the games, including New York New Jersey. Though you may see “New York New Jersey” listed as the host site online (including on official FIFA announcements), know that the games will not actually take place in New York, they will take place right here in New Jersey at MetLife Stadium. Fan activations will take place across New Jersey and New York City. Other U.S. host cities include Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, Kansas City, Boston, Philadelphia, and Miami. As per the agreement with FIFA the stadium will be temporarily renamed during the matches-New York New Jersey Stadium.
