Secaucus Greenway

Our brand new Secaucus Greenway is a 1.6 mile walkway which starts on Millridge Road across from the baseball fields, heads into Mill Creek Point Park, continues south along the Hackensack River, passes the High School, Acorn and Trolley Parks and ends at the Extended Stay Hotel on Meadowlands Parkway. ¼ mile markers have been posted so residents can keep track of their walking distance.
Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 38 minutes to complete. This is a popular trail for birding, trail running, and walking, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash. This is a nice easy trail with two playgrounds at the beginning and one at the turnaround point. It’s scenic and tranquil with some trees and wildlife.
The trail surface is pavement, wooden boardwalk (with edge barriers and railings), or gravel. It is typically at least 4 feet wide (with many wider passing spaces). The majority of the trail is estimated to be in the flat grade category (1% or less). All-terrain tires or motorized equipment may be needed for the unpaved surfaces. There are benches and picnic tables along the route for resting.
