Guests can choose to order from a menu of daily items available for pickup the same day they are ordered, pre order partially designed cakes and cupcakes with a two to three day wait or create completely custom desserts with a wait time of two weeks.
Welcome to Double Batch Bakery! Meet owners Rachel & Angel Hidalgo, the husband and wife team behind Double Batch Bakery. Angel and Rachel have both had a passion for food from a very young age and began their careers with internships at some of the best kitchens in New York City while still in high school, with the guidance and mentorship of C-CAP (Careers through Culinary Arts Program. With the help of C-CAP, Rachel and Angel were able to compete and with scholarships to culinary school. They both attended The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. There, they met and fell in love! Angel studied culinary arts and Rachel studied Baking & Pastry arts. They have each spent the last 20 years working their way up from line cook and pastry cook to executive positions in their fields. Opening a business together is something they have talked and dreamed about for so long, and they are excited to bring it to reality.
