Empty Sky 9/11

Empty Sky 9/11

The September 11th tragedy changed our world forever, but no one has felt this trauma and tragedy more than the families and friends of those who died. The Empty Sky memorial was erected to honor these victims.

Located in Liberty State Park, the Empty Sky memorial features two long walls, each equal to one side of the former World Trade Center, with a path between them overlooking the former site of the Twin Towers. The names of all 749 New Jerseyans who lost their lives that day are etched into the stainless steel walls. At night, the names are illuminated, ensuring their memory lives on forever.
