We are thrilled to introduce West New York’s first community garden, located at the beautifully renovated Miller Park at 5709-5711 Jackson Street.
The Miller Park Community Garden features, 40 Plots, among these, 4 have been made wheelchair accessible to ensure that everyone can participate in the joys of gardening. The garden is free to West New York residents, there is a $30.00 dollar fee for non-residents. Gardeners need to provide their own tools, seeds, and plants. We are currently collaborating with local environmental groups and Hudson County’s 4-H for gardening educational programs. We will also accept applications from volunteers who wish to assist but do not want to garden.
The community garden will serve as a space for individuals of all ages and backgrounds. We aim to foster a sense of connection, environmental stewardship, and food security within our town. The community garden is dedicated to providing opportunities for education, art expression, and therapeutic benefits.
